Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship

You can also request to study some of the doctoral courses (3 years), Master of Science or literature (2 years) or a one-year postgraduate course which may include; a master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Philosophy, among others.
If you are a student that is already receiving a Gates Cambridge Scholarship and you are applying for a different postgraduate program, then you are eligible too.
This scholarship is open to any international postgraduate student at the University of Cambridge. However, the part-time students, bachelor students, non-degree students, students of other universities cannot apply for the scholarship program.

How to Apply for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship
To apply for the gates scholarship, you will have to enrol in one of the master’s programs at University of Cambridge Website. Meanwhile, you must bear in mind that being selected for one of these postgraduate studies does NOT automatically grant the right to a scholarship.
Once admitted to one of these programs, you will have to present, through the Scholarship website, a series of documents below;
- The GRADSAF application form (which includes a specific section for these international Gates Cambridge scholarships)
- Your academic record
- 2 academic reference letters as well as a personal one.
Once all these are done, you just have to wait to see if you are chosen. The application must be made through the online system of its website at the same time as the application for admission to the postgraduate degree.
Candidates who pass the selection process will be called to carry out an interview that will last about 25 minutes, and in which topics related to their academic training (social sciences, physical sciences, biological sciences or letters) will be discussed.
NOTE: You will not be able to apply for the scholarship if you have not previously applied for a place at the University of Cambridge.
